A consulting engineering firm located in Middleburg Hts., Ohio, 10 miles south of downtown Cleveland. Our services consist of engineering, planning, project controls, and construction management focused on primarily industrial clients. Engineering services include design and construction engineering in civil, electrical, instrumentation, machine design, mechanical, process piping and structural engineering.

Prerequisites/Requirements

Recognized technically in the field of Steel Inspections.
Strong communicative and interpersonal skills.
Certified Welding Inspector AWS QC-1 preferred.
Minimum of five years of experience performing structural inspections.
Exercises discretion and independent judgment.

Capabilities/Proficiencies

Capable of collecting and preparing data and information and writing formal engineering, technical and inspection reports.
Capable of providing guidance to others on inspection issues.
Possesses a working knowledge of applicable codes and standards.
Provides a leadership role.
Capable of estimating project hours and developing project scopes of services.
Capable of interacting with clients, personnel, suppliers and other company departments, particularly on technical issues.

Responsibilities

Determine Department staff requirements.
Department administration including resource selection and scheduling.
Project Monitoring.
Coordination and department leadership of assigned projects.
Employee reviews and training.
Department quality.
Defines how a task will be done and by whom.
Project technical criteria.
Control all department resources.
Provide detailed department rewards, direction, evaluation and performance measurement.
